People

Our People are what makes us different. We are energetic, passionate, and personable – not quite your typical engineers and designers. Have you ever heard the saying “How can you tell if an engineer is outgoing? He looks at your shoes instead of his.” Our people challenge that. Not only are we technically knowledgeable, but also we’re pretty fun to be around. We encourage you to get to know us a little better, and we look forward to working with you.

Principals

Brett C. Basquin, PE is president and founding principal of Foresite Group, Inc. He is a proud graduate of Georgia Tech where he majored in civil engineering and played football for the Yellow Jackets with the nickname “Swamp”. Brett is still active with the Georgia Tech Letterwinners Club and Alumni Association, attending games and volunteering for the organizations. He currently manages our Auburn, Alabama office and focuses his efforts on our Land Development, Infrastructure, and Parks & Greenspace practices. Brett is highly involved with the local community, the City of Auburn, Leadership Lee County, and the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers). Brett enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

W. Brant Aden, PE is one of the founding principals of Foresite Group, Inc. and has over 14 years of experience in civil engineering. He is a native Floridian and a graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and the University of Georgia.  He provides design and development support services to public and private clients throughout the southeast with an emphasis on Land Development, Parks & Greenspace, and Transportation projects. Brant resides with his family in Norcross, Georgia where he is an active community advocate and leader with involvement in the City of Norcross Downtown Development Authority, Norcross Neighbors, Gwinnett County, and the Council for Quality Growth. He was recognized for his contributions as a Gwinnett County Pinnacle Award winner in 2009. Brant loves to race, competing in 8 triathlons and half marathons, including a Half-Ironman event in Austin, Texas. He enjoys endurance training and racing, but really values the quality time he spends with his wife and kids.

Erik S. Johnston, PE is one of the founding principals of Foresite Group, Inc. He grew up in Pennsylvania and then studied civil and environmental engineering at Virginia Tech, where he fell in love with Hokie football. Erik slowly made his way down the east coast from Pennsylvania to Virginia to North Carolina, and finally to Atlanta. Erik has over 14 years of professional experience in Land Development and Telecommunications design projects. He has designed and managed projects throughout the country with a focus on structured development programs and comprehensive design coordination. Erik enjoys playing tennis, running, swimming, and spending time with his girls (all four of them!).
